Okdeazy is an 18 year old artist from Naperville, Illinois. He was involved with music from a young age, learning from his dad who had a studio. He was constantly around people making music, and hearing different styles. Deazy notes that Kanye West has been his biggest influence, and that a lot of his work has been modeled after Ye. He also gives credit to G Herbo, Kid Cudi, Lil Wayne, and Juice WRLD for his interest in music. Surrounded by so many artists, Okdeazy found a love for music and decided that was his calling.
Growing up, he was in a stable environment, with little to worry about. He explains that rather than let him be carefree, it taught him to work harder. He learned his work ethic from his mom, who was constantly working to make sure he had everything he could want or need. He expresses his gratitude for that, and says that seeing how hard his parents work makes him realize how much is put into making yourself successful. Okdeazy feels the need to work ten times harder than the people around him to prove that he is self made, and prove that not everything has just been handed to him.
The past year has included a lot of growth for Okdeazy as an artist. From collaborating with artists to performing at shows, he has definitely gotten his name out. He said that headlining at Spring at Six Thirty has been his biggest success so far. Though he sometimes gets skeptical about a career in music, seeing how some people blow up overnight while others put in hard work for years, he knows that he has the skill to be great. In the future, Okdeazy says he is striving for a Grammy and Billboard charts. Continuing to work on his discography, he wants his listeners to stay tuned. Not only will there be new music soon, but he will be branching out in styles he has never released before.
