SGSP Dolo is a 27 year old artist from the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Growing up, writing music started out as a hobby, and a way to express himself through the struggles he experienced. Dolo says that starting from a young age, the death of family and friends took a toll on him. In an attempt to find a productive way to clear his mind, he started writing songs. He was also exposed to a variety of different genres of music, which caught the interest of reflecting that through his own style. Listening to alternative music, hip-hop, R&B, etc., Dolo decided he didn't want to put himself in a box and limit the potential of what he could create. After being hit hard by the death of a close friend, he found himself in the studio finally getting ready to put his message out.

Despite the loss and struggles he experienced growing up, Dolo has made a name for himself through his music. He says his first feeling of success as an artist was the offer for a paid show, following his previous concerts in basements and smaller venues. With determination to build a life doing what he loves, followed by a strong support system, there is more to expect as he expands his audience. Dolo hinted at experimenting with different genres of music in the future that don't necessarily fit his current reputation. He wants to have a versatile take on what he creates, and build the following to be able to reach a diverse audience, knowing that whatever risk he takes artistically, someone will relate and appreciate it. Although he has found music to be an outlet, Dolo says he does not want to rely on it as a career. "This industry will chew you up and spit you out if you let it," he says. "I have a passion for music, but I want to be successful loving what I do.” Dolo expressed that his future success will not rely on a career, but more in finding financial stability and mental peace doing something he has a passion for.

With a world of people to look to as inspiration, Dolo started pulling aspects of his persona from artists he found himself resonating with. He says that as an artist overall, he finds Lucki most influential, from everything to his music, to his fashion, to his media presence. Also noteworthy were Jaden Smith, NBA Youngboy, and the upcoming UK drill scene. Dolo says the evolution and spread of different styles helps fuel his will to cultivate something new and unique. He says that he feeds off of the energy of the people and places he is surrounded by to generate an environment of growth and creativity. He says that his discography has been limited intentionally, waiting for the right moment to unleash his potential in the music scene.
