Stuckey is a rapper from Bellwood, Illinois. Growing up, he loved music, saying he listened to a lot of Wayne, Usher, and Ludacris. “My first CD was actually a bootleg Ludacris album,” he recalls. Stuckey began considering a career of his own in music, thinking it looked fun, and falling in love with it. To this day, Wayne is still one of his favorites, inspiring different beats and lyrics. Stuckey also finds influence in his own music from Drake beats, as well as works by Future.

Stuckey’s artistic influences are not only limited to music. He said he finds inspiration in anything from anime, as seen in his cover art, to cartoons and movies giving him ideas for lyrics. He also says he finds some of his greatest inspiration in life itself. He explains that part of his creative process is simply taking a break. Stuckey emphasizes the importance of putting a pause on work of any kind to make sure you’re staying in the moment. He says, “if I live life for real, and come back to this, I’m going to have more to speak about. If you’re not living, you’re not seeing new things. You’re living the same experiences over and over.”

Stuckey says that one of his favorite experiences as an artist, and a moment where he truly felt he chose the right path, was at Six Thirty’s most recent show at The Forge. He prides himself on his ability to put on great performances. Stuckey said that he loves looking to artists like Playboi Carti, XXXTENTACION, and Lil Uzi Vert to learn from their performance styles. He notes the importance of crowd control, and being able to put on a show that people can genuinely vibe with.

Performances aside, Stuckey finds that the most rewarding aspect of his career as a rapper will be when he’s able to support himself off of it. He expresses that he has doubts sometimes, and starts to question what his purpose is, or feels like he hasn’t reached the point he’s supposed to be at. However, Stuckey reminds himself

this is what he loves, and what he's good at. “ I was always supposed to be a rapper,” he says. Sometimes he feels like he has to become another version of himself, because people mistake his confidence for cockiness, but he has learned that it doesn’t matter how others perceive you, you have to keep doing what you do. “I’m here, I’ve made it this far, and I plan to keep going further.”
